Mendelssohn's St. Paul
St. Paul was the Masterpiece of Mendelssohn's lifetime.  Elijah, his second and ultimately more successful oratorio, premiered only a year before his death.  Come experience the work that brought Mendelssohn to the forefront of his craft.  With a strong influence from Bach and Handel and yet with the character which is decidedly Mendelssohn, St. Paul tells the story of the martyrdom of St. Stephen and Saul's conversion and ministry.  This work features Bach inspired chorales and hints of the brilliance expressed in its fullness in Elijah.  It is an event not to be missed.  For tickets, see our Ticket information page.
